Job Description
We are looking for a talented Curation Scientist to join one of our top biotechnology partners. The ideal candidate will have a PhD, a strong understanding of cancer pathways, and proficiency in data analysis. This position is onsite in Ann Arbor, MI.
CURATION SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS - PhD in Oncology, Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, or Molecular Genomics
- Strong understanding of cancer pathways in various types of cancers
- Proficiency in data analysis
- Hands-on experience with NGS (bonus skill)
- Regulated product development on genetic counseling (bonus skill)
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication and organization skills
CURATION SCIENTIST RESPONSIBILITIES - A key responsibility will be reading extensive literature and curating the relevant data.
- The individual will be responsible for bringing data in-house and ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- They will curate all relevant data and integrate it into Thermo’s internal system.
- The position includes focusing on genetic markers in cancer and their role in driving cancer progression.
- This work will involve analyzing data associated with therapeutics.
- The individual will collaborate closely with the internal team and be actively involved in ongoing projects.
- The person in this position will work closely with software engineers and bioinformatics scientists.
