Job Description

Position Summary: The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction related to a relay upgrade projects at multiple power generation plants throughout the state of Georgia. Responsibilities include:

• Lead Construction Management for Assigned Projects
• Interface between client Project Manager and Plant Personnel with all project field activities
• Safety Leader/champion for assigned projects
• Initiate/own incident management process for capital projects in conjunction with Effingham Operations Leadership
• Interface between contractors and owners engineer
• Project development functions

Required Qualifications / skills:

• Ideally 10 years of experience managing construction of industrial facilities (not looking for candidates from a residential construction background)
• Hands on experience with relay system replacement and testing
• Understanding of MS office applications (Excel, Word, Teams)
• OSHA 10/OSHA 30 certification or knowledge of standards

Plusses:

• Familiarity with combined cycle or power generation facilities
• Familiarity with related industrial equipment (boilers, chillers, etc.)
• Related electrical equipment knowledge (conduit routing, wiring, controls)

Compensation:

$50/hr to $70/hr in addition to per diem rates.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
