CNC Horizontal Machinist
Location: Placentia, CA
About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced CNC Horizontal Machinist to support our aerospace manufacturing operations in Placentia, CA. This position plays a key role in the production of precision components that support the assembly of high-performance aerospace latches delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 3- to 4-axis horizontal CNC systems (linear and/or rotary) in a production environment.
- Review dispatch lists and work orders to prioritize daily production schedules.
- Interpret blueprints, dimensional data sheets, and planning documents to ensure components meet engineering specifications.
- Perform tooling setup, offset adjustments, and minor edits to CNC programs as needed.
- Conduct in-process inspections and verify part accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, and safety checks.
- Work independently under limited supervision to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 3–6 years of hands-on machine shop experience operating CNC systems.
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
- Programming knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Manufacturing floor setting exposed to heat, noise, dust, and fumes.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand and foot control.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain steady hand-eye coordination with fine motor dexterity.
